Applicants For The Highest Security Clearance Must Get No Presumption Of Innocence
Regardless of what is said about 'guilt by association', the voters do not indict or accuse; they trust or distrust one or the other of the two. Each candidate is an applicant for this very high security clearance, and must win trust relative to the other, not just complain about being supposedly being judged guilty, when the electorate does not even accuse, in its capacity as voters. This is why long affinity for far left, subversive, even terroristic types, like Ayers and Dohrn, is an issue that can't go away. The application is for the command-in-chief of the armed forces, a responsibility which the electorate can't help but take seriously.
