The non-diverse have to pay mortgage insurance, the diversity doesn't. Often they need not give valid ID to obtain hundreds of thousands in mortgage credit to buy, or squat in, a property. That problem remains unsolved, and to solve it requires restricting eligibility for mortgages, at the same time that the public desire is to get a larger share of the population into mortgages. This effect is showing up prominently today especially regarding Palin. It is not so much a question of looking down on others, but of outright hatred; one without sympathy, but that wishes destruction on its objects.
It is vicious, unprovoked hatred, resembling only that which an adult male feels towards his benefactor who saved him. The ambitious of the large cities, whether it is ambition for power or for money or for opportunity for some rarefied urban career specialization, have repeatedly had to be saved politically by the less ambitious out towards the country.
They, the ambitious, have had to be saved from the consequences of their own politics, in which the ambitions of one sort are treated as dovetailing with the evil ambition, which is to say: Power-greed.
They have had to be just saved, over and over, as if they were hopelessly incompetent and grossly inferior, non-viable life-forms. The awareness of this relation, stings them so long and intensely, that they can only react with hatred towards their benefactors, out in the smaller places.
A prime recent example is the differential support for the EU referendum on the Lisbon treaty in the Irish voting. The ambitious, more educated and metropolitan, were down on all fours licking the boots of the power-greedy EU monstrosity. The less-ambitious, less-specialized, more small-town-living part of the electorate, had to save the more ambitious from the consequences of their own alliance with power-greed.

The requirements to pick this story out are that the victim must not be of the majority, and there needs to be an unnamed white suspect at least. The intentions would seem at least to be to inflame anti-Caucasianism, and excuse the power to force racial quotas that officials gleefully luxuriate in. That the government feeds so eagerly this journalistic corruption, is yet another declaration by them of psychological war on the majority. New Studies Find Diversity's Mostly Negative Correlates

As found on gnxp, Galor and Ashraf's new paper researches the data to find a curve in which they say: "genetic diversity has [...] a detrimental effect on social capital and a beneficial effect on the knowledge frontier." The first finding, of negative diversity-value, is the one which comes from the overwhelming number of data points that they have. This could have been reported as its own linear correlation, but that wouldn't be pro-diversity, would it? By a remarkable straining of the global data, they twist a curve all the way around through an "optimal diversity" range which is flat, as utterly trendless data scatter would be, then a lopped-off range where supposedly genetic diversity acquires discernible positive value. This is theorized to occur from Serial Founder Effects, which in stepwise manner, at intervals of thousands of miles sometimes, a hard reduction of genetic diversity occurs. Then, with data points from North and South America, they extend that curve into a symmetrical downslope, but there isn't any pronounced trend for the farther southern countries to have much less population density in 1500 than the closer northern ones. Serial founder effects were to have culled genetic diversity at intervals of at least every few thousand miles, though. The entire new world may be getting treated as a bloc of low genetic diversity, and as one of low population density, their variable to be explained.
This does not support the pro-diversity conclusion, that "knowledge frontiers" are enhanced by genetic diversity as such. Wouldn't that mean that volume of accumulated mutations was itself the favorable circumstance for upbuilding "knowledge frontiers", that is, the quantity of them, rather than the quality? Highly mutagenic environments though are not good for quality, while the less mutagenic ones, such as many northern lands, seem long to have been favorable for high intelligence and the other precursors of blooming "knowledge frontiers".
In any case, Japan registers as the high point of "optimal diversity" on their curve, and it's hard to present that sort of example as pro-diversity, by any modern notion of what is high and low diversity on the scale of great nations.
Transitioning to the subject of the last post: basing the new world results on population estimates of 1500 introduces huge unreliability, though the authors say they're using McEvedy and Jones 1978, which I have. At first glance, they could hardly be doing so consistently, and if they're not, that allows for mixing in some wild New Left 'scholarship' as discussed below.

"Being diverse and irrelevant is easy"
...which is a quote from Scott E. Page's book The Difference: How the Power of Diversity Creates Better Groups, Firms, Schools, and Societies . If it's easy to be diverse and irrelevant, that means value-irrelevant, or not? The point would seem to have been missed, as to whether diversity itself can ever be a proper value. If the question were: how may the 'power of PRO-diversity' create something of real and lasting value, there would be no opening left for equivocations like having a section entitled "How Diversity Trumps Ability: Fun at Caltech". If one is going to try to argue for diversity-value, finding it at Caltech, which currently enrolls 0-1% blacks for years on end, this glosses over the whole point of being pro-diversity; which is to not set minimum standards so high that some large parts of the population, such as races, do not get to register their 'diversity-value'. Doing diversity the Caltech way, would be called anti-diversity, if it were applied to recruitment in a more general way. The gross equivocation and dishonesty is to have an incidental diversity that arises from most uncommonly high minimum standards, be allowed to stand in for diversity managed with quota recruitment. The two have no overlap; they are complete opposites.

One broad implication is the existence of cross-cultural differences in human cognition and behaviour contingent upon the relative presence of pathogens in the local ecology. We focus specifically on one fundamental cultural variable: differences in individualistic versus collectivist values. We suggest that specific behavioural manifestations of collectivism (e.g. ethnocentrism, conformity) can inhibit the transmission of pathogens; and so we hypothesize that collectivism (compared with individualism) will more often characterize cultures in regions that have historically had higher prevalence of pathogens. Drawing on epidemiological data and the findings of worldwide cross-national surveys of individualism/collectivism, our results support this hypothesis: the regional prevalence of pathogens has a strong positive correlation with cultural indicators of collectivism and a strong negative correlation with individualism. The correlations remain significant even when controlling for potential confounding variables. Isn't it to be expected then, that the tendency from additional immigration cohorts, of the tropical-adapted, will be destructive of individualism, community of values and of larger loyalties generally. Quality of population, and the ill effects of tring to force others to act as if they valued openness to damagingly low quality of population, is what is going on here. Pro-diversity even means what one would hope that no intelligent people would ever include in their idea of diversity-value, in effect, they are valuing PATHOGEN diversity. This is another way to know for certain, that unspeakably vicious malice is involved; if you are in effect valuing pathogen diversity along with your general celebration of diversity and openness to it. The Inequality Of Man: Contra Helvetius

...returning the burden of proof back where it ought by now, and long since, to be and to have been. Said Helvetius in De L'esprit, p.198: "who can be certain, that a difference in education does not produce the difference observable in minds?" This implies that the entirely environmental explanation of mental differences of ability, is the default assumption. That is not known to be true, it must be argued for, and compared with the evidence for the hereditarian position, which is never stated as the complete explanation, much less demanded to be disproved. The evidence is heavily for an important role for heredity, while the environmental assumption is stated in radical terms, and defended by the use of smearing methods against the hereditarians. Such methods indicate a weak position, when used by the most educated and knowledgeable in the relevant fields.
If groups are to be authoritatively assumed to be equal in authoritativeness, and one group denies this assumption, it would be self-contradictory to try to impose the assumption authoritatively. This also puts the default position back where it should be; neither favoring the hereditarian nor the anti-hereditarian premise, unless the anti-hereditarian one is stated radically, in which case, it has the higher burden.
Without egalitarian assumptions, the task of the power-greedy, to manipulate resentments of groups like races, nations, classes, religions, genders etc. in order to destroy resistance to despotism, becomes all the more difficult. Do we then have an explanation why this egalitarian assumption is held to so fiercely, but not in a random way, as to who wants more power to enact more theories, and who wants less of that kind of power-seeking?

In the very next sentence of the above linked quote, Helvetius continues:" Who can assert, that men are not like those trees of the same species, whose seed, being absolutely the same, but never sown in exactly the same..." environment, as we say today.
The biology here is impossibly backward and totally wrong; fertile seeds are always different genetically, and such that the environment can, and often does, vary much less, when they're starting close to each other.
The logic is faulty or even outright mendacious, with the 'who can assert that men are not like those trees', improperly demanding disproof, where the burden was on the egalitarian making assertions of great moment.
This has stood for centuries, as facts have accumulated contradicting it, in immense volume, as if genetics does not exist and has not existed. To turn the burden of proof back on the population-genetic egalitarian now, though, threatens to overturn the edifice of state interventions, insofar as these are based on population-genetic equality being the default assumption, and one with discretion to raise indefinitely high, the standard for the (improperly demanded) disproof.
This issue is not like any other, in the malice and power-greed it evokes and thrives on; it is rich food for demagogues, agents-provocateurs and other devils of the moderne anti-culture.

To argue against it with the facts though, will never be enough. One must drop the assumption of there being sincerity and good faith on the other side, the better to realize instantly, that the other side has to use attempted smearing, with just that slippery slope, and just that fake dilemma laid out, as described and implied above. It has to be a smear job against the exponents of even small inconvenient truths, since there is no good argument for liberating aggression in the service of internationalistic, anti-hereditarian power-greed.

The explanation of the natural born citizen requirement, being that it was desired to forestall damaging foreign influences from coalescing around an immigrant, would sound right if it were taken as referring to immigration after 1789. What about all the foreign-born who were citizens at that point already, and eligible by the specified exception, for the citizens of 1789, though? Wouldn't they be a greater threat than a potential immigration in the future? This is why I bring up the special case of the emigre Tories whose parents were Americans, and whose valuable lands had been taken and later sold to the great Whig families here. If one of them came back, claiming natural born citizenship by parentage if that were allowed in the clause, and became president, he would threaten the upset of those land acquisitions by those most important families, and perhaps more and worse, if trying for recolonization. Jay would not want any such in our military officer's ranks, nor in high office of any kind, much less the presidency. Of the foreigners he sees as most threatening, the hundred thousand Tories on the northern border, with their claims on the great landed fortunes, might appear the most motivated and close-situated, to even cause a lasting disinterest in repeating the experiment in a new kind of government.

This intelligence operation was especially concerned with letters to and from Tories around the forts Britain held, inside or near the American borders. This link indicates that the presidential eligibility requirements were aimed at excluding Tories. Madison said 7-20-1787 that: "He might betray his trust to foreign powers. The case of the Executive" being meant. Jay's proposal recurs in the first passage of the 12th amendment, before ratification, with fewer features. 12th amendment Natural Born Citizenship: "...nor shall any person be a Senator or Representative in the Congress of the United States, except a natural born citizen, [...] or unless he shall have been a resident in the United States at the time of the declaration of independence, and shall have continued to reside within the same or to be employed in its service from that period to the time of his election." The 'continued to reside' part neatly excludes the tories who emigrated and returned, and the 'natural born' requirement excludes the children of such families, who stayed out. It happens that these requirements were never ratified by the states, but they do reflect the understanding of natural born citizen of the statesmen of that time, following Jay closely. Considering that the illustrious Count Rumford was one of the emigres, who would have been made ineligible by one of these exclusions, it might be seen that the authors of these requirements did have something to fear, specifically of quality people being in that group of tories and their children.

The Naturalization Act of 1795
"...No person heretofore proscribed by any state, or who has been legally convicted of having joined the army of Great Britain during the late war, shall be admitted as foresaid, without the consent of the legislature of the state in which such person was proscribed."

This is another indication that, not only did they not want Tories in the top offices, but they didn't want their children to become citizens, at least not of those who had been 'proscribed'.

The use of state power to enhance mobility, tends to increase the predatory/parasitical behavior, which is already elevated in the mobilized population, even when the environment should change the newcomers more than it is changed by them.

Civilization is a species of literacy, from which emerges a society in which there is an attempt to achieve consistency in our accounts of what exists and can exist. It requires also a phonetic alphabet with symbols for the common vowel sounds. There must be a written language of this exact sort, which allows for publication to the multitude, not just to a priesthood, when high-level ideas are articulated. This is why China is not civilized, and even this year has been firing into crowds of monks. Genesis, with its two flood stories in contradiction to each other, illustrates the transition to civilization; they have part but not all of the minimum requirements. The Ionian settlers show the first civilization. The written language, by that point, allows for a kind of publishing that would make accessible to the many, articulated exposition of the most important ideas, and there is an attempt at getting consistency in the accounts of what exists. If we value openness to diversity instead, the attempt at an overall consistency has been abandoned in principle, and civilization falls below its minimum threshold value.

...where the true interest of everyone is thought to be of the highest, and the most considerate of future consequences; is it still in the interest of the prospective immigrant to move here in a way that would entrain the increase of aggression on the net taxpayers of our citizenry? I know it's tabloid-ey of me, but I daydream of being able to talk to Hillary Clinton candidly for 15 minutes or so, to prod her on her reaction to it. The power-greedy in general do this, with the left in the forefront always, because there is no sensible argument for a move to the left, nor for any such move, which would greatly increase the power of officials domestically. This is how Obama got favored, and the meaning of it:
Choose an issue so as to smear opponents (as in the title). The issue chosen is whether there should be a black president, yes or no, and no other issues allowed (through major media), and prove you're not racist, and no evasions unless you're running scared. See how this works, and how viciously helpless and incompetent the right is before this approach? Will even one of them, before a large public, say:
You (or they) HAVE to smear opponents (of e.g.-Obama) as driven by racial hatred, BECAUSE there is no argument for more power to be granted (to officials domestically)? No other answer will work though, or none, which is not a variant of the above. Defensiveness and acting wounded looks weak, evasion will be pursued, and so on. West may have a reasonably good answer, that will work, though probably not to the extent of stopping the left from using such rhetorical approaches.

There is such a large range of circumstances in which such openness would endanger one. Generally, the less you know of someone, the more you might use discrimination based on group averages. With strangers, you know only what they look like, their age, gender, race and not much else. To claim that it is immoral to use that information to save your freedom-FROM-aggression, is not known to be true, but such a claim does serve the cause of freedom-FOR-aggression. One may observe that those who want freedom-for-aggression, because they or their relatives are street criminals, or because they want power (e.g. leftists), are the ones who try to impose anti-discrimination. There is negligible hesitation in using state aggression for the anti-discrimination programs, which invariably favor mainly groups which have higher crime rates, and especially of stranger violence.The more damaging an idea is, the more it must depend on openness and trust, to get spread around. It is this way to such extent, that one does well to suspect, that the more a suggested belief would command openness, trust and anti-discrimination, and specifically regarding strangers; the more damaging that belief will be.

JB comments: One should indeed be suspicious of that which first tells you to value openness, as this is a platform that any sort of false and damaging idea can use to piggyback on, and then close off behind it. Intimidation or browbeating, false dilemma for purposes of smearing, all of these are at least suggested in the above quote, as part of "this rhetoric that valorises 'openness'."

The Sabotage Of Morals Which Arises From Valuing Openness
Since being open to the worst, is harder than being open to what is not the worst; there are higher openness value-units to be won, by being open to worse and worse things. It is contrary to all nature, to have such an openness-valuing practice; this is why it is only urged on others. Suspiciously, it might be noted, that a mental infectious agent need specify NO MORE THAN: command openness (on others), to spread and parasitize indefinitely far. If a biological infectious agent were able to highly influence a concept or idea so as to get itself transmitted, it would have to be a very simple idea, if possible at all. The extreme simplicity of the imperative mood, with its one-word commands often meaning some physical action, would have to be the prime candidate, since the genetic complexity of viruses and bacteria is very low.
This is why I nominate the command of 'open!' as it could hardly be simpler, it resembles physical action, and it with utmost efficiency, serves the minimum needs of an infectious agent. As for the agent itself, if biological, I would nominate the KSHV/ HHV8 herpesvirus.

Especially disturbing is not only the implication that Israel should be overrun, but that the "walls between the countries with the most and those with the least" should be brought low. This would guarantee the destruction of civilization, as essentially all our investments in higher productivity presuppose that there not be endless additional labor at continually lower rates, to displace that capital and those technologies. When you go backward on technology for many years running and throughout the world, a vortex down into a dark age ensues. This would be Obama's goal, since he also wishes to mobilize hostile Islam against civilization, against Israel, Hellenic Cyprus, and any place else that must wall out the backward and viciously low. Civilization has walls because there are people like Obama's relatives out there; Americans will be too proud to elect that which would have us value openness to the savage. The savage can indeed offer nothing in the way of values, but to try to get the more civilized to be more open to savagery and its migrations.

Very Vulgar Openness-Idealization From Flat-World Friedman
As found here: The Strategy of Openness, Revisited. The title of this site does allude to the Open Society and its Enemies, but definitely not because Popper had the same idea as Friedman, Blair, Soros and others, rhetorically valuing openness itself and above the minimal standards of civilization. Popper meant by Open Society an open-ENDED one, which had not closed off its options with a rigid theory like Marxist historical determinism. Friedman means just openness as a value which can't be questioned, and which may be forced on other nations as well as on the loyal citizenry here. Valuing openness to aggression and the spread of evils, and flattening resistance would be his implicit ideal. Openness to the bad is not good, no amount of manipulation of fakey ideals like openness can change that. Such an openness-valuing conscience then must be open to every evil, and flattened as flat can be. Since no one can practice that, and live long, it must be case of urging on others what one regards as bad for oneself and one's family. The problem here is not so much hypocrisy, it is that no one can live by openness as an ideal to be applied radically, yet this doesn't get pointed out, but hypocrisy does; which reinforces the fake ideal.

An Evil Which Proceeds From Basing Political Discourse On The Concept Of Rights
Inevitably one gets deceitfully selective championing of victims of rights violations. When one looks at the individual case too much by itself, or that of some minority group which is said to be hard done by, one loses the context of the overall level of aggression in the society. Political discourse should start from the premise that citizens owe loyalty to each other, in at least that case where the foreigner enters, increasing the overall aggression inside the borders. Next there is the loyalty owed, of citizens to one another, to remain allied against those who would take way from freedom-FROM-aggression, yet who are presumptive citizens until they are killed or imprisoned. In terms of the language of rights, there is a right to freedom from aggression, but only if the alliance of loyalty of citizens to one another, against the foreigner or domestic aggressor who takes way from that right, or would do so, has got established first. Without those sovereign loyalties, rights have yet to obtain in that territory.

When an American is displaced from employment to accomodate a foreigner, he stops paying taxes, and the remaining taxpayers have to make up the difference. The way to know this is by comparing which racial, ethnic and religious hatreds are encouraged, and which used to set up smears of opponents, who are opposed to the aggrandizement of state power relative to the citizenry. Jeremiah Wright and black liberation theology win every encouragement, as does Islamic hatred of infidels including Jews. This is why it cannot be obtained by democratic means, but is made to grow by the subversion of democratic procedures.The powerful and unscrupulous are daring in this particular way, making the most out of anti-caucasianism wherever they can recruit it. They need to take that risk of outraging public opinion, and getting themselves roundly hated and distrusted, because there is no good argument why they should have more power. That is, when their best chance is to antagonize the majority, then smear as moved all by racial hatred, the opposition which they provoke. This way, the unspeakably depraved act as agents provocateurs towards the majority in a racial way, then say racism and make opponents try to prove that they're not. Regrettably, the objects of the provocations almost never think to say: you have to do this because there is no reason why you should have more power.

When All You Have Is A Holocaust Reaction, Everything In The Way...
of one's bid for undesirable power or influence, has to be made to sound like an incipient holocaust. There is no reason why officials should have more power to do more damage, which leaves the power-greedy with this slippery-slope smear method: prove you're not sliding inexorably to a new mass-murder explosion. When officialdom and its professoriate have done such enormous damage to community of values, that they cannot invoke a general agreement on anything but perhaps that mass murder programs are undesirable, it becomes a political speech crime to mention that the Khmer Rouge were pursuing equality, brotherhood and the eradication of class divides, all in the name of socialism, too. Likewise with the Maoist extermination of tens of millions in China. The smearing approach depends on there being only a holocaust of inequality and non-brotherhood, hereditarian and unsocialist tendencies. History must be deformed in a degree that is only compatible with unfreedom. Democratic procedures become obstacles, such that the rhetoric of the power-greedy requires that the existence of the majority be considered an incipient holocaust. This is the anti-culture of the last several decades, at least in the nations which have shown some resistance to the spread of despotic rule. Only the closure of the government schools, their privatization, and the cashiering of their professoriate can stop this by now. Unless that is, the threat of doing so, were convincing enough to get them to change on their own.

A society which reorganizes around valuing openness and anti-discrimination is self-contradictory and self-liquidating. The more it pursues non-discrimination and openness, the sooner it is replaced by a new leading element which closes the door behind it, having entered courtesy of anti-discrimination. Without more discrimination, even of the kind militated against by officialdom and professoriate as prejudice, Islam would enter en masse, and close off the openness behind it, and re-establish discrimination with extreme prejudice. It is not enough to look only at a large and strong country relative to such infiltrations, as America undoubtedly is; but to a range of nations with varying vulnerabilities. If it is observed that Hellenic Cyprus, Israel, Croatia, and even larger countries, would soon become Islamic zones of silence and death relative to cultural achievement, if they literally valued openness and anti-discrimination more and more, it is also predictable that a larger stronger country would go the same way, only over a longer period. That is, if such values were followed out to their threshold of ruin, with no turning back before the takeover is effected. Therefore, it is known that such values have wrongful aspects either in theory or application or both, but not neither.

It just has to get you to be open-minded to its program and not discriminate in a way which would block its entry and takeover. It needs you to proselytize for its minimal program. It will applaud any way of commanding others to be open and undiscriminating, no matter how unprincipled. Any further features are superfluous. Craig Biddle however, insists that "No one owns America" and that "Since there is no principle governing the use of 'public' property, there can be no principled argument for excluding immigrants from using such property." Isn't there a contradiction-in-terms there, though, for it to be property and yet somehow no one owns it, at the same time and in the same respect? If the unreason of that claim is not apparent, Biddle also says we should "Exclude immigrants from receiving welfare and from using government schools—", but doesn't that contradict his claim that "there can be no principled argument for excluding immigrants from using such property"? Is the public revenue after having been collected, not public property, which shouldn't be regarded as something like seawater on the open ocean, that any foreigner might take at his convenience? Isn't this a contradiction-in-terms as well, or reducible to one, to claim as Biddle does that America's border "...is properly a boundary designating the area in which the U.S. government must protect rights." That is, if it also true that "Individuals possess rights not by virtue of their geographic location ...". The contradiction being that the prospective immigrant is said to have a right enforceable on our government, to move here, while there is also claimed a limitation on the geographic domain in which it "must protect rights". Another contradiction is here: if American "society is inimical to human life" because it uses force to restrict immigration, and has been this way since the federal government took over this responsibility in the mid-19th century, how is it that the prospective immigrant is losing by not getting an immigration visa, to a society which then would have to be considered "inimical to human life", unlike perhaps some stateless zone in Somalia?
